The Regionalliga West is a German professional football division administered by the Western German Football Association based in Duisburg. It is one of the five German regional football associations. Being the single flight of the Western German state association, the Regionalliga is currently a level 4 division of the German football league system. It is one of five leagues at this level, together with the Regionalliga Bayern, Regionalliga Nordost, Regionalliga Nord and the Regionalliga Südwest.

The Germany Regionalliga West is a prominent regional football league that serves as the fourth tier of the German football league system. Established in 2012, it is one of the five regional divisions of the Regionalliga, which collectively forms the backbone of German football below the professional leagues of the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga.

The Regionalliga West features a competitive lineup of clubs primarily from North Rhine-Westphalia, one of Germany's most football-rich regions. The league showcases a mix of traditional clubs with rich histories and ambitious teams striving for promotion to higher tiers. Each season, teams compete in a round-robin format, with matches held from late summer to spring, culminating in an exciting race for the championship and promotion spots.

The top teams in the Regionalliga West have the opportunity to advance to the 3. Liga, the third tier of German football, while the lower-performing teams face the threat of relegation to the Oberliga, the fifth tier. The league is known for its passionate fan base, vibrant matchday atmospheres, and the development of young talent, making it a vital component of the German football landscape.

With its blend of competitive spirit, local rivalries, and a pathway to higher levels of play, the Germany Regionalliga West continues to be a crucial platform for clubs and players aspiring to make their mark in the world of football.
