The Germany Regionalliga West is a prominent regional football league that serves as the fourth tier of the German football league system. The Regionalliga West features a competitive lineup of clubs primarily from North Rhine-Westphalia, one of Germany's most football-rich regions. The league showcases a mix of traditional clubs with rich histories and ambitious teams striving for promotion to higher tiers. Each season, teams compete in a round-robin format, with matches held from late summer to spring, culminating in an exciting race for the championship and promotion spots.

The top teams in the Regionalliga West have the opportunity to advance to the 3. Liga, the third tier of German football, while the lower-performing teams face the threat of relegation to the Oberliga, the fifth tier.
