Wikipedia - Regionalliga Nord

The Regionalliga Nord (English: Regional League North) is the fourth tier of the German football league system in the states of Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Bremen and Hamburg. It is one of five leagues at this level, together with the Regionalliga Bayern, Regionalliga Nordost, Regionalliga Südwest and the Regionalliga West. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008 it was the third tier.

From 1963 to 1974, a Regionalliga Nord existed as the second tier of the German football league system, but it is not related to the current Regionalliga.

The Germany Regionalliga North is a prominent semi-professional football league that serves as one of the regional divisions of the German football league system. Established in 2012, it is part of the fourth tier of German football, positioned below the 3. Liga and above the Oberliga. The league features clubs primarily from northern Germany, providing a competitive platform for teams to showcase their talent and strive for promotion to higher divisions.

The Regionalliga North is known for its passionate fan base, rich footballing tradition, and the opportunity it offers young players to develop their skills in a competitive environment. Each season, teams compete in a round-robin format, with the top clubs vying for promotion to the 3. Liga, while others face the challenge of avoiding relegation to the Oberliga.

The tournament not only highlights the competitive spirit of regional football but also serves as a vital stepping stone for clubs aiming to establish themselves in the higher echelons of German football. With a mix of historic clubs and emerging teams, the Germany Regionalliga North is a thrilling showcase of talent, strategy, and the love of the game.
